  • Turnover up to 12 lakhs annually

Slaughtering units fssai License

Slaughtering directs towards the process of stunning, dressing, storing, transporting, butchering, processing & distribution of live animals/poultry birds.

  • Large Animal- (Exceeding 50 per day, Exceed 2 up to per day, Up to 2 per day)
  • Small Animal- [150 or more (adding sheep and goats into) per day, Greater than 10 that goes to 150 per day, Up to 10 per day
  • Poultry birds- (One thousand and more than that, Exceed 50 up to 1000 per day, Up to 50 per day)

Slaughtering units fssai License

Slaughtering directs towards the process of stunning, dressing, storing, transporting, butchering, processing & distribution of live animals/poultry birds.

  • Large Animal- (Exceeding 50 per day, Exceed 2 up to per day, Up to 2 per day)

Processing of meats simply means of additional processing of slaughtered animals/poultry birds into the final product of meat products, storing, meat, packaging, & transportation of meat & meat products.

Processing of fish means the processing of fish, manufacturing of fish products, handling, distribution, packing, storing, and transportation of fish and fish products.

  • Greater than 500kg of meat in a day or 150 MT annually
  • Up to 500kg meat in a day or 150 MT annually
  • Turnover up to 12 lacks annually

General Manufacturing fssai License

Processors/ Manufacturers except for vegetable oil, slaughtering units, dairy units, processing units, and meat processing units. Repackaging refers to packing food products into various sizes with labelling after doing less processing as required such as grading, sieving, and sorting, etc. The food product is not composition, formulation, and manipulated is not affected or modified.

  • Exceed than 2MT/day.
  • All grains, pulses, & cereals milling units without any limit on quantity and/or other Food Businesses added than 100Kg/Litre up to 2 MT/day.
  • Turnover not surpassing Rs. 12 lakhs and whose production volume of food does not surpass 100 kg/ltr per day

Proprietary food indicates an object of food that has not been standardized under any regulations but does not incorporate foods for special dietary uses, novel foods, foods for special medical purposes, functional foods, nutraceuticals, health supplements, and such other food articles which the Central Government may notify in this behalf.
